About WAPP

World Academics Partnership and Publishing (WAPP) is an academic publishing and partnership house based in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria. We publish academic books and peer-reviewed journals, and we partner with universities, faculties and departments to plan and host the conferences, webinars and workshops.

Our work sits where scholarship meets dissemination. A department may have the research, the reviewers and the readership, but not the editorial workflow, the design capacity or the publishing infrastructure to put that work in front of the world. That is the gap WAPP was built to close.

We work as a partner rather than a vendor. The academic ownership of a journal, a book or a conference stays with the institution that created it; what we carry is the production, the platform and the process behind it — editorial workflow, peer-review administration, typesetting, design, ISBN and ISSN registration, hosting and distribution.

Our clients are universities, faculties, departments, research groups and individual scholars, in Nigeria and beyond.

World Academics Partnership and Publishing was registered as a business name with the Corporate Affairs Commission on 23 November 2020 (BN 3251085), with its principal place of business on Aka Nung Udoe Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.

The practice began from a straightforward observation. Across Nigerian universities a great deal of solid scholarship never reaches a wider readership — not for want of quality, but for want of publishing infrastructure. Manuscripts stall between draft and print. Departmental journals appear once and then lapse. Conference proceedings are presented, applauded, and never published.

WAPP was set up to supply the missing half of that equation: the editorial process, the production capacity and the publishing platform that turn finished research into a citable, discoverable record.

The work has grown through institutional partnerships. Among them is our partnership with the Department of Computer and Robotics Education, University of Uyo, publishers of the Uniuyo Journal of Computer and Education Related Studies (UJCERS) — a peer-reviewed, open-access journal carrying original research on computing technologies and educational practice.

To make African scholarship visible, credible and permanent — by publishing academic books and peer-reviewed journals to international standards, and by partnering with institutions to convene the conferences, webinars and workshops where that scholarship is debated, refined and shared.

A publishing culture in which every serious piece of African scholarship has a credible route to peer review, to print and to a global readership — and in which no department is held back from publishing by a lack of infrastructure.

• Publish academic books — monographs, textbooks, edited volumes and conference proceedings — from manuscript assessment through to ISBN registration, print and distribution.

• Publish and host peer-reviewed academic journals, covering editorial workflow, peer-review administration, ISSN registration, open-access hosting and issue production.

• Partner with universities, faculties and departments to plan and host conferences, webinars and workshops — from the call for papers through to the published proceedings.

• Provide editorial services: developmental editing, copy-editing, proofreading, typesetting, cover design and plagiarism screening.

• Support researchers directly with writing, formatting and submission guidance for peer-reviewed publication.

• Foster academic and societal development by widening access to the research produced in Nigerian institutions.
